Movie Review:

Gali Gali Chor Hai failed to draw in the public attention. The audience attendence was poor even though there were sizzling performances including Channo (Veena Malik).
The story is about Bharat (Akshay Khanna), who is a common man, part time cashier and part time Hanuman at the Ramleela. His father believes in Gandhian principles and strives for a corrupt-free nation. Bharat wants to play the role of Ram one day which is being currently played by Sattu Tripathy (Amit Mistry), who is the younger brother of the MLA, Manku Tripathy (Murli Sharma). Now this Sattu is not a good actor and is always upset by Bharat who gives a wonderful performance.
The elections are starting and Manku wants Bharat to rent out his extra room to his election campaign. Bharat refuses and Bharat's father lets out the room to the opponent candidate Mohan Lal (Shashi Ranjan).
The things get out of control because of the intervention of bureaucracy. Bharat gets involved in corruption by being forced to give bribe etc.
So, the story intervines between a common man, Bharat married to Nisha (Shriya Saran) who gets unnecessarily involved in corruption. The film has a humorous side to it. Although the first hour succeeds in keeping your attention, the film gradually declines and even the Channo performance is unsuccessful in it's attempt to keep the audience glued to their seats. Although the film is released at the ripe time when the corruption issue in India is at it's peak what with Anna Hazare being on the hunger strike againt corruption but all that apart, the film fails to deliver it's message meaningfully. Whether the film doen good or not will depend upon the results of the opening weekend. Opening day was atleast not good enough for the movie.
